Hartford Bridge Brigade -
Date: Friday
Time: 4 pm - 5 pm
Place: Hartford: 370 Market Street, Hartford, which is a Candlewood Inn. You will turn into the driveway between the Candlewood and Citgo gas station and drive as far down the small road as possible. You will see a fenced in lot right beside the overpass. There is a QR code to scan and pay to park. It is $5 for 12 hours. It is monitored and we recommend paying. This is the Riverside Park Pedestrian Overpass in Hartford. We have visibility to folks going North and South. There is also an off-ramp to 84 in this spot, so huge potential for the message to be seen. Note: When last there, there was not QR code and the gate was open.
You can park at Riverside Park which offers free parking and bathrooms, and is a 5 minute walk to the overpass. That address is 20 Leibert Rd Hartford. It is basically the Jennings Rd Exit off I-91.
Carpooling is preferable as it limits the number of cars.

Glastonbury, CT, Saturday, Weekly Rally
Time: 10 - 11 am
Place: Main and Hebron by Daybreak Coffee* -
Please do not stand in front of Daybreak Coffee or use their patio while protesting
Do not engage with counter-protesters
Bring water to drink. It's getting warm out there
We are not allowed to block sidewalks
* I am advising all CTRH members not to stand in front of Day Break.
Rationale: It is not worth the space when we have other options just a few feet away.
It just takes one customer complaining to Day Break that they are not comfortable on the patio anymore. I thought about it as if I were not in the resistance, would I want to sit and have a coffee and a chat with a friend there. Maybe not.
The corner to the right of DB is available and we can also line Main St if the numbers get too large. Also, we can walk across at the crosswalk and use the sidewalk to go back and forth, but standing in front of the store has downsides. Yes, we have the right to be there as that section is public, but we also want to be good neighbors.
At the end of the day, this is a movement and not a moment, CTRHs reputation as a non-violent messenger of pro-democracy also means we are thoughtful of others and good neighbors. There may be others who have a relationship with the owner and have permission to protest there and that is awesome! We will leave that space for them.

A Few Reasons Weekly Protests Are Important:
1. People realize that they are not alone
2. By protesting, we alter the agenda and break through stove pipe messaging
3. Our voice is our power
4. They are fun! We help build community - x Friends Everywhere
